Role of Food Assurance Committees highlighted

CHAMARAJANAGAR: Deputy Commissioner K. Vishwanath Reddy has said that Food Assurance Committees had been formed to ensure proper distribution of foodgrain in fair price shops. He was speaking after inaugurating a workshop on the responsibilities of Food Assurance Committees at J.H. Patel auditorium here on Friday. He said the Government had initiated various steps to prevent any misappropriation in fair price shops. Superintendent of Police Srikantappa and CEO of zilla panchayat Jayaram were present.
