Cheque presented

Chief Mechanical Engineer of Visakhapatnam Port Trust S.F. Mumford on Thursday handed over a cheque for Rs.3.5 lakhs towards gratuity to the widow of K. Krishna Rao, driver of pilot launch Kanaka, who died as the vessel sank at a jetty on Feb. 15 , according to a press release on Friday. Senior Deputy FA and CAO G.S.S. Kumar handed over a cheque for Rs.1.5 lakhs to Krishna Rao’s widow as insurance claim. Senior Divisional Manager of Oriental Insurance Company N.D.V. Prasad was also present.
