Shri A.R.C. SEKARAN, October 20, 1920 January 19, 2008. Shri A.R.C. Sekaran, ("Ji"), a resident of San Jose, California, USA passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the age of 87. As Assistant to the Regional Director in the UK for Air India for Mr. Dalal, he was known for taking exceptional care of his customers. He was honoured for his services by the Queen of England. After his retirement from Air India, Ji supported many students through grants and scholarships both in the US and in India. Ji is survived by Dr. Uma Sekaran. his wife of sixty-five years; his son Ramesh Sekar and his wife Usha, grandson Kiren and granddaughter Anisha. His loving extended family is too large to detail, but includes Mr. and Mrs. P. Narayanan and their children Gana pathy, Meenakshi and Rukmani; PRS; Saroj Krishnamurthy and her children Geeta, Sridhar and Anita; K. Swaminathan and his children, Siddarth and Vishnu; Sudha and Usha, children of the late Brigadier K. Pennathur; Raji Subramaniam and her children Sandhya and Veena; and his nieces and nephews Vembu, Sushiela and Venkataraman; their children, spouses and grandchildren. He has touched their lives in significant ways, and all will miss his cheerful and commanding presence.
