TDP-Congress cadres exchange blows

ADILABAD: Activists and representatives from local bodies belonging to the Congress and TDP clashed at Ambedkar Bhavan on Saturday as the latter protested being ignored for membership of Indiramma committees. The TDP cadres staged a vociferous protest at the Indiramma committees awareness programme at Adilabad division-level and questioned Collector Ahmad Nadeem and C. Ramchander Reddy, MLA, over the criterion in selection of members for the committees. Congressmen present in the hall came forward to argue over the accusation of partisanship. As arguments grew, members of both the parties exchanged blows and threw furniture around. The police dispersed them.
