Protest against distortion in textbook

Special Correspondent

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Bharateeya Sikshan Mandal (BSM), a Hindu organisation to promote education, as part of its all-India protest will take out a rally in Visakhapatnam on Monday from Sri Krishna College to the Collectorate against what it called “total negation of Ramayana”, “attack on faith” and “blasphemy” in the history text book prescribed for B.A (Honours) II year students of Delhi University. The chapter “Three hundred Ramayanas” written by A.K. Ramanujan in “readings for concurrent course, culture in ancient India” as compiled by university history HoD Upinder Singh had denigrated Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshmana and Hanuman and projected the entire episode as false, alleged BSM general secretary D. Visweswaram.
