One held for firing at cops
NEW DELHI: One of the two miscreants who allegedly opened fire at a police team in Mandawali here this past Wednesday has been arrested by the East Delhi police.
The accused has been identified as Asif, described by the police as a notorious criminal previously involved in several criminal cases.
The shooting took place around 12-45 p.m. when Constables Roop Kishore, Lalit and Jagdish of the Police Control Room were conducting routine checks of vehicles in East Delhi. When the police team intercepted a duo riding a motorcycle and asked them to produce the documents, the two allegedly opened fire at them and fled leaving the motorcycle behind.
