Dry weather
NEW DELHI:
RAINFALL: Rain/snow has occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain/thunderwhowers have occurred at isolated places in Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitations in cm. are: JAMMU AND KASHMIR: Kupwara 2 and Banihal, Batote, Bhaderwah and Quazigund 1 each.
TEMPERATURE: The minimum temperatures rose appreciably in east Rajasthan and Uttarakhand, rose in Haryana and changed little elsewhere. They were markedly above normal in Haryana, appreciably above normal in Punjab, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 08.8°C recorded at Amritsar(Punjab).
FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 25th February 2008: Rain/snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttarakhand. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in north Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. After 24 hours, Precipition likely to decrease. Night temperature may fall by 02 to 03°C.
FORECAST FOR DELHI AND NEIGHBOURHOOD VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 25th February 2008: Mainly clear sky. The minimum temperature will be around 14°C.
