Imparting skills to schoolchildren

Special Correspondent

Bangalore: Skills for Adolescents (SFA) is a programme that aims at imparting life skills, character education and emotional skills to students from Standard 8 to 10.

This programme is on as a pilot project in 10 schools in the city. Under the programme, trained teachers and resource persons visit schools on a weekly basis and teach various skills through interactive media to help each student to acquire confidence, discipline, critical thinking and conflict management. It is being organised by Lions International in association with the student community Au-to-Zu for U.

To honour the services of all those involved in the programme, a function is being organised on February 25 at JSS Public School at HBR Layout in the city.
