KOCHI: The last date for submitting applications for admission to the 2008-09 batch for the Post Graduate Diploma in Management of NGOs course, offered by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, is April 21. The course begins in July. Students with a bachelor degree in any discipline and those awaiting results of final year degree examinations can apply for the course. Graduates with around three years of full time work experience in the social development sector may join the course as nominees of NGO. The course attracts talents from a variety of disciplines like agriculture, engineering, animal husbandary, fisheries, forestry, etc. The Web site of the Institute is www.ediindia.org and e-mail address is: pgp@ediindia.org The PG diploma course was launched in 1998 and it has been backed by financial institutions like the Industrial Development Bank of India, ICICI, IFCI and SBI and the Government of Gujarat, claimed a press release from the Institute. The course was initiated to strengthen social development sector with professionals having skills and attitude.
