Stiff competition for annual creative awards

KOCHI: A panel of eminent personalities from the advertising field will judge entries in Pepper-2008, the annual creative awards competition organised by Advertising Club of Cochin.

Sajan Raj Kurup, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of Creative Land Asia, Josy Paul, Chairman of BBDO India, Prathap Suthan, Cheil Worldwide, South West Asia, are the members of the jury for Pepper-2008, said a press release here. More than 500 entries have been received for the annual competition. The release quoted an official of the Advertising Club of Cochin as saying that the response was good from ad agencies in South India.

The competition is open to categories such as multimedia campaigns, press campaigns, TV and radio advertising, retail advertising, outdoor campaigns, photography, print materials etc., said the press release.

The winners will be presented with gold, silver and bronze awards and certificates. The agency winning the most number of awards will be the Agency of the Year. The advertiser winning the maximum points will be Advertiser of the Year. The Advertising Club of Cochin has 450 members and it had been organising creative award functions for the past 13 years, said the press release. The award function is scheduled for March 28 in the city.
