KOCHI: A thousand families will come together at a convention at the Renewal Centre, Kaloor, on March 2 as part of an anti-liquor campaign of the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamali, said a press release here on Sunday. The programmes will start with a concelebrated mass at 10 a.m. A meeting will follow. Cardinal Varkey Vithayathil, president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India, will inaugurate the convention. Charlie Paul, president of the anti-liquor committee of the Kerala Catholic Bishops’ Council, will preside. Thomas Chakiath and Sebastian Edaynthrath, Bishops, will speak, the release said. K.K. Rahulan, Madhya Nirodhana Samithi (committee for prohibition) State president, will deliver the keynote address.
