BANGALORE: The Department of Foreign Languages, Bangalore University, has announced the addition of two more languages — Chinese and Portuguese — to its foreign language programme, at the second International Language Fair, held here on Saturday.

The programme and exhibition that had stalls selling books and promoting foreign language courses, was inaugurated by Arundhathi Nag, founder of Ranga Shankara. Ms. Nag spoke about the need to learn different languages while not forgetting one’s roots. Vice-Chancellor H.A. Ranganath also spoke.
