NAGAPATTINAM: The Indian Overseas Bank, conducted a two-day special skill development programme exclusively for 60 Muslim women from 25 women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) here recently. R. Muthusamy, Senior Regional Manager of IOB who organised the programme said that the training was being provided under the 15-point programme of the Centre for socio-economic development of minority communities. The training was given by G. Jaganathan, Director of the Rural Training Centre, Thanjavur. T. Ramadoss, Lead District Manager of Tiruvarur, inaugurated the programme. S. Suriyakala Project Officer, Mahalir Thittam, Nagapattinam, G.S. Ramadoss, District Backward Classes Welfare Officer and A. Thanikachalam, Lead District Manager, Nagapattinam addressed the function.
