THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minority Rights Watch, a human rights organisation here, has attributed an expansive “Sangh Parivar-Intelligence Bureau agenda” in the arrest of an IT professional, a Muslim youth from Kerala, on charges of terrorist links in Karnataka recently. In a statement here on Saturday, the organisation’s chairman S. Shanavas and secretary M.K. Harikumar said that the same forces behind the denial of minority rights in the government job sector were now trying to prevent educated Muslim youth from gaining professional jobs in the private sector. The situation was such that any innocent Muslim student or youth could be taken into police custody merely on the basis of an Intelligence report alleging extremist links, they said.
