CHENNAI: Trade licences for 2008-09 should be renewed by next month end, according to a press release from the Chennai Corporation. The licences can be renewed at the respective zonal offices, which function between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on all working days. Those who fail to renew the licences by the last date would have to pay an additional 50 per cent of the licence fee as fine. Those who renew licences between May 1, 2008, and March 31, 2009, would have to pay 100 per cent as fine. Those who fail to renew their licence by this period would have their licences cancelled. Payment of the sanitation and food adulteration prevention fee must be added to the licence fee and payment made through a demand draft.The zonal offices are located in 266, Tondiarpet High Road, Tondiarpet; 47, Basin Bridge Road, Basin Bridge; 71, Dr. Ambedkar College Road, Pulianthope; 5, Anderson Road, Ayanavaram; 183, Periyar E.V.R. Salai, Kilpauk; 2, Dr. Besant Road, Ice House; Lake Area, Fourth Street, Nungambakkam; 64, N.S.K. Salai, Kodambakkam; Richards Park, 370, Anna Salai, Saidapet; and 115, Dr. Muthulakshmi Salai, Adyar.
