Hamza scores a hat-trick

NEW DELHI: Aided by Hamza Mujtaba’s hat-trick, Indian Oil defeated Air India, Mumbai, 4-2 in the fourth Oriental Bank Maharaja Ranjit hockey tournament at the Shivaji Stadium here on Sunday. Inderjit Singh Chadha completed the tally for Indian Oil while Len Aiyappa and Girish Pimpale reduced the margin for Air India.

In another match, Air India (North) Indian Airlines beat Namdhari XI 5-3.

The scorers for the winner were Sandeep Singh (4) and Dhanraj Pillay. For Namdhari XI, the goals came through Sumeet Singh (2) and Sher Singh.
