MLA’s resignation demanded

BERHAMPUR: Thousands of armed tribal supporters of Kui Samaj in Kandhamal district organised a rally at Tikabali on Sunday demanding resignation of G.Udaygiri MLA, Ajayanti Pradhan. The Kui tribals of Kandhamal district allege that the MLA was involved in providing Scheduled Tribe certificates to the harijan Christians through dubious means. Ample armed security had been provided at Tikabali and other parts of the district to avoid recurrence of communal violence due to this rally.
