BSNL executives defer strike plan
HYDERABAD: The Joint Forum of BSNL Unions/Associations of Non-executives and Executives has decided to defer the indefinite strike scheduled from February 26 following talks with Chairman and Managing Director Kuldeep Goyal and representatives of the forum in New Delhi. Bandi Ramesh, secretary, Hyderabad district unit of BSNL Association of Telecom Mechanics, said in a statement here on Sunday that the forum would meet in the first week of April to review the situation. It would decide on the appropriate action, if necessary. Among the assurances given by officials were that there would be no immediate proposal for IPO and there would no introduction of VRS scheme.
