Immigration facility sought at new airport

Hyderabad Citizens Organisation on Sunday sent a request to Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil, Civil Aviation Minister Praful Kumar and Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy asking for provision of immigration facility for passengers from Pakistan at the international airport at Shamshabad.

As the present airport at Begumpet does not have any such facility, people coming from Pakistan were forced to visit either Mumbai or Delhi for immigration clearance, the organisation said.
