New member-secretary

CHENNAI: M.R. Mohan, former Commissioner of Handlooms and Textiles, has taken over as the Member-Secretary of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA), replacing Mohammed Nasimuddin. The transfer and posting of the 1990-batch I.A.S. officer was notified on Tuesday, CMDA officials said.

The notification on the government website adds that, “The services of Thiru Md. Nasimuddin, IAS, Member-Secretary, Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, are placed at the disposal of the Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited for appointment as its Managing Director vice Thiru A. Velliangiri, holding additional charge.”
