Inter student commits suicide
An intermediate student committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence at Old Lal Darwaza on Saturday. Reasons behind V. Sandhya’s death were yet to be established, police said.
Girl killed in accident
Thirteen-year-old P. Laxmi was killed when a speeding lorry crashed into her hut at Indira Reddy Nagar in Narsingi on Saturday.
The accident occurred when the lorry driver, who was absconding, lost control over the vehicle and rammed into the hut. Laxmi suffered grievous injuries and died on the spot.
Two persons held
Two persons were arrested by the Task Force police on Saturday for their involvement in a series of offences.
A dagger and two mobile phones were also recovered from the possession of Baljeet Singh (28) and Sujinder Singh (32), both residents of Sikh Chowni in Kishan Bagh. They were involved in extortion, murder and attempt to murder cases, according to police.
