Overnite hires luggage space in Garuda buses

HYDERABAD: Overnite Express Ltd, a Rs. 140-crore courier service network, has entered into a tie-up with APSRTC by hiring 1,500-kg of luggage space in eight routes in which the latter operates Garuda (Volvo-make) services.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, CMD O.P. Rajgarhia said that the contract was initially entered into for a period of two years and extendible by another year. The RTC called for tenders to sell the luggage space in which Overnite emerged the successful bidder.

He said that his company would pay Rs. 3 lakh a month to the RTC towards hire charges. .
