Inter-University aquatics from today
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: International Rehan Poncha will be the star attraction when the all-India inter-University aquatics meet gets underway at the Waterworks Swimming Pool here on Monday.
Rehan will spearhead the challenge of Bangalore University, which will be gunning for the men’s team title.
Mumbai, Pune and host Kerala universities are expected to give Bangalore a tough fight. Kerala University is pinning its hopes on Bichu Suresh. The host also expects its water polo team to do well in the meet.
In women’s section, the host and defending champion Kerala University will be hoping to regain the title especially in the absence of Shika Tandon of Bangalore University. — Principal Correspondent
