Rama Sena activists stage dharna

CHIKMAGALUR: Activists of the Chikmagalur unit of Sri Rama Sena staged a dharna in front of the district office here on Monday to protest against the increasing extremist activities in the State.

In a memorandum submitted to the Deputy Commissioner, they demanded that the State Government take steps to put an end to terrorist activities.

Action should be initiated against the organisations that supported fundamentalism and anti-national activities, they said.

They appealed to the Government to provide adequate protection to Pramod Muthalik, State unit president of the Rashtriya Hindu Sena.

The activists demanded that the Government take action against Narayan Nadumani, Police Commissioner of Hubli-Dharwad.
