MES Medical College expands dialysis unit

MALAPPURAM: MES Medical College at Malaparambu, near Perinthalmanna, has expanded its dialysis unit in a move to cater to more number of kidney patients. District panchayat president Arimbra Mohammed inaugurated the renovated unit on Monday. With the installation of one more machine, the unit can offer dialysis to as many as 25 patients a day.

C. Sadasivan Pillai, college Principal, presided over the function. N.M. Mujeeb Rahman, medical superintendent, welcomed the gathering. Sunil George, head of the Department of Nephrology, presented a report. District panchayat standing committee chairmen Saleem Kuruvambalam and Ummer Arakkal, and medical college registrar C.V. Jamaluddeen offered felicitations. Aboobacker Thayyil, chief casualty medical officer, proposed a vote of thanks.
