ESIC medical officers’ meet today

PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry unit of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) would hold a medical officers’ meet at 11.30 am at the regional office here on Tuesday.

Assistant Director of the ESIC D. Yogananda Rao said in a release that the meet was being held as part of the celebrations to mark the 56th anniversary of the corporation.

The insurance medical officers from all ESI institutions would discuss the extension of improved medical care to the insured population of the Union Territory, he said, adding that the meeting would be chaired by the State Medical Commissioner of the ESIC, Chennai. Among others, the Regional Director of the Corporation in Puducherry, Deputy Director (ESI), Medical Officer of the ESI Hospital and branch managers of the corporation would participate in the meet.

Close on the heels of this meeting, a join ‘Shikayat Adalat’ would be held at the ESI Hospital at 2.30 p.m., for a spot-redressal of grievances, he said.
