Lucknow: After his book ‘Sacchi Ramayan’ created a controversy in Uttar Pradesh, Indian Justice Party (IJP) on Monday announced that it will install statues of Periyar Ramaswamy Naiker here and in Allahabad on Ambedkar jayanti on April 14, hailing him as the “icon of the oppressed”. “Since the BSP chief and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati had forgotten contributions of the great leader, we have decided to install statues of Periyar”, IJP national president Udit Raj told reporters here.
