Industrialists facing NOC problems, says Mukhi

Staff Reporter

Writes to Industries Minister to ease norms in this regard

NOCs from DSIIDC needed for obtaining finances

Re-located units desperately in need of money

NEW DELHI: The Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Jagdish Mukhi, has in a letter to Industries Minister Mangat Ram Singhal demanded that the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) be directed to provide “no objection certificates” to each and every industrialist who asks for it.

Prof. Mukhi said while industrialists of Bawana and Narela industrial area, who had been re-located there, were in need of NOCs from DSIIDC for obtaining finances from banks and financial institutions, they were only being issued NOCs for construction and not for other purposes.

As such, he has called for issue of NOCs for such purchases as buying of machinery and increase in current credit limit also.

Elaborating, the senior BJP leader said when he spoke to the Managing Director of DSIIDC, the latter said that clarifications on the matter had been sought from the Industries Department of the Delhi Government. However, Prof. Mukhi said he learnt from the Commissioner (Industries) that no action had been taken either by him or DSIIDC till date.

“People are running from one department to another. It is a matter of regret that despite being situated in the same premises, the officials of both the departments have wasted so many days in discussing the issue and have not done anything to ameliorate the grievances of the industrialists who contribute significantly to Delhi’s economy,” he said.

Stating that industrialists whose units had been re-located are in desperate need of finances, Prof. Mukhi urged the Minister to intervene in the matter so that they were not harassed unnecessarily on account of the NOCs.
