Special Correspondent
VILLUPURAM: Four persons were killed when a bus dashed against a roadside tamarind tree at Neelamangalam near Kallakurichi on Monday.
Wordy duel
The driver lost his concentration and control over the vehicle as there were heated exchanges between a passenger and the conductor.
R. Kaliammal (55) of Ammapet in Kallakruchi and H. Ammasi (28) alias Purushothaman of Noorolai Colony died on the spot.
While Rangasamy (63), husband of Kaliammal, died in a Puducherry hospital, their daughter-in-law Chinnaponnu (35) succumbed to injuries at the Salem hospital.
About 35 passengers sustained minor injuries and five suffered severe injuries.
