Committee constituted

CHENNAI: The State Government has constituted a committee, headed by M. Naganathan, State Planning Commission Vice-Chairman, to identify problems and issues concerning the Centre-State relations.

The committee would help the Government in formulating views on the subject as the Union Government-appointed Commission would soon get in touch with States for ascertaining their views, according to an order issued last week. Comprising nine members, the panel would have secretaries of the departments of home, finance, rural development and panchayat raj, municipal administration and water supply, public works, commercial taxes and law. R. Viduthalai, senior advocate, is also part of the committee. — Special Correspondent
