Seniors flay Jeevan Reddy

HYDERABAD: Senior Congress leaders from Telangana have criticised the Roads and Buildings Minister T. Jeevan Reddy for his statement against Congress Working Committee member G. Venkataswamy.
The leaders including K.R. Amos, P. Goverdhan Reddy and B. Kamalaker Rao alleged that Mr. Jeevan Reddy was adopting “double standards” on separate Telangana issue and forgot the fact that he was a signatory to the representation seeking separate Statehood to the region made when the Congress was in Opposition.
Mr. Venkataswamy recalled the issue to show the developments that took place in the region, they said.
Asserting that they stood by Mr. Venkataswamy’s statement, they advised Mr. Jeevan Reddy to restrain from making statements on Telangana issue.
