KOCHI: The Kerala Muslim Jamaat Council has demanded an apology from Nair Service Society general secretary P.K. Naryana Panicker for his statement on the Sachar and Paloli committees’ reports. Council leaders, at a press conference here on Monday, demanded that Mr. Panicker withdraw his statement. The statement will only help destroy the communal harmony in the State, they said. The council wanted all political parties and fronts in the State to make their stance clear on the statement. It said the Sachar and Paloli committees’ reports should be implemented immediately to ensure social justice. A. Pookunju, general secretary of the Council, and Ernakulam district secretary C. I. Pareeth participated in the press conference.
