Aravindan puraskaram for film-maker

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Marathi film-maker Mangesh Hadawale has been selected for the 17th Aravindan Puraskaram instituted by Chalachitra Film Society for his maiden film, ‘Tingya.’
Society president G. Rajamohan and jury chairman K.P.Kumaran told reporters here on Monday that the jury led by the latter and comprising Renji Kuriakose, member, and P.N. Darwin, member-secretary, unanimously selected Mr. Hadawale for touchingly portraying the crisis in rural life in the country. The puraskaram comprising Rs.25,000, a memento and a citation will be presented at a function to observe the 17th death anniversary of Aravindan on March 15.
