Rajahmundry: The Agriculture Department has taken up a variety campaign to popularise its ‘Polam Badi’ concept in villages. Morning times it reaches out to farmers through its training and enlightenment programmes and during the night it stages ‘Burra Katha.’ ‘Polam Badi’ is being conducted every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and the same night, a cultural troupe stages ‘Burra Katha.’ The troupe explains the seed village concept, vermi compost, necessity of organising Rythu Mitra groups and other issues.
