Controversy over report a ploy: PDP

MALAPPURAM: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) working chairman Poonthura Siraj said here on Tuesday that the controversy over the Paloli committee report was unnecessary. He said it was a ploy to divert attention from the real issue. Had Mannathu Padmanabhan been alive today, NSS general secretary P.K. Narayana Panicker would not have criticised the Paloli committee report the way he did, Mr. Siraj said. He said the reaction of Muslim Educational Society (MES) leader Fazal Gafoor to Mr. Panicker’s criticism was also immodest.
