HYDERABAD: Amid noisy scenes, the Telugu Desam Party members on Tuesday staged a walkout in the Legislative Council after Chairman A. Chakrapani pulled up Leader of Opposition Dadi Veerabhadra Rao for stating that the budget was the last opportunity for the Government. Before leading the walkout, Mr. Rao protested to the Chair saying, “don’t try to control on what I should speak”, even as there were heated exchanges between the Congress and the TDP members, who moved into the well. Pulling up Mr. Rao for sulking for “five minutes” even after he was asked to continue his speech, the chairman said his comments were out of context. After the walkout, Agriculture Minister N. Raghuveera Reddy condemned the TDP members’ behaviour and said it was improper to attribute motives to the Chair. Finance Minister K. Rosaiah said it was mandatory to undertake revision of the list every 10 years and the G.O. was issued following a direction by the Supreme Court. BC listBackward Classes Welfare Minister Mukesh Goud asserted that there is no question of removing any caste from the list.
