YSR’s assurance on media council

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Tuesday assured a delegation of Andhra Pradesh Mahila Samakhya that the Government would consider setting up a media council to regulate depiction of violence and obscenity in cinema and television. He also said the State would enforce the new guidelines issued by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
