Letters to the Editor
Our Muslim brothers have openly condemned all forms of terrorism in their one-day convention at Durul Uloom, Deoband, in Uttar Pradesh, which is welcome. It is hoped that they will emerge as a strong force against terrorism and impress upon their youth not to be swayed away. Let India show the way for ending terrorism. Chelladurai Williams, Chennai It is laudable that clerics, scholars and religious leaders among Muslims have denounced terrorism. Their message needs to be sent loudly across our neighbourhood which has become a launch-pad for terror directed against India. Air Cmde Raghubir Singh (retd.), Pune D. Uma, Sriperumbudur The charge that Muslims are hounded by the police, the bureaucracy and the intelligence agencies in the name of terrorism is not wholly unfounded and baseless. Unfortunately, it is a reflection of the ground reality. Seshagiri Row Karry, Hyderabad M.K. Madhusoodanan Pillai, Port Blair
