Silver Jubilee celebrations

BANGALORE: Folk art and culture should be included in the primary and secondary schools syllabi, said D. Javare Gowda, litterateur.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Karnataka Janapada and Yakshagana Academy here on Tuesday.

He said at least two chapters should be dedicated to folk art and culture. He said that folk culture should be included in competitive examinations such as KAS and IAS.
