SBT inks MoU with CRISIL

Thiruvananthapuram: The State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CRISIL for rating of Small and Medium enterprises.

The agreement envisages providing of rating services to clients of the bank at a low fee. The rating by CRISIL provides an independent credit opinion of the enterprise, which goes a long way in proclaiming the credibility of the unit among its suppliers, customers and the general public.

In addition, the rating provides the unit an opportunity for comparison with peers, thus serving as a tool for self-improvement. The rating methodology is expected to improve transparency.
