Air ban during Chinese Parliament session

BEIJING: China has banned flights within 200 km of Beijing during the upcoming annual National People’s Congress (NPC) and Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) sessions out of security concern.

The ban from March 2 to 19 is within a 200-km radius of the Tiananmen Square where the two sessions will be held, the Ministry of Public Security said. — Xinhua
