Prabu, Ramdas score hat-tricks

Madurai: Prabu Rajkumar (6 goals) of Pudukottai and Ramdas (5 goals) of Madurai starred in Pudukottai’s 12-0 win over Karur and Madurai’s 7-1 win over Theni respectively in the Madurai Regional SDAT-TN Hockey Association league here on Tuesday.

The results: Madurai 7 (Ramdas 5, including a hat-trick, Rajkumar, Sivamani) bt Theni 1 (Rajkumar); Pudukottai 12 (Prabu Rajkumar 6, Jegan 4, Anand 2) bt Karur 0.

Albert Murali of Tuticorin beat M.J. Rajesh Babu of Madurai Union Club 25-60, 61-28, 62-60, 60-21 in the invitation snooker tournament organised by Madurai Union Club.

Four-wicket win

Sunny Colts Cricket Club beat Kumari Cricket Club by four wickets in the Canara Bank-Kanyakumari DCA first division league recently.

The scores: Kumari CC 119 in 28.3 overs (Bright four for 13) lost to Sunny Colts CC 123 for six in 23.3 overs.
Easy for Kents

Kents Cricket Club defeated Union Powers CC by seven wickets in the Canara Bank-NDCA first division league in Udhagamandalam, recently.

The scores: Union Powers CC 146 (K. Karthikeyan five for 21) lost to Kents CC 147 for three in 24 overs (B. Sathish Kumar 67 not out).
