Gajanana emerges winner

BANGALORE: D.S. Gajanana of Sharp Software, International Technology Park (Bangalore) emerged winner of the Bangalore preliminary of the Ascendas Grandmaster chess tournament played here on Monday. Gajanana scored five points from matches played in the Swiss format.

The Ascendas Grandmaster tournament will also be played at Hyderabad (for the Technology Park corporates) on Feb. 27 and Chennai (for the Tech Park corporates) on Feb. 29. The final is slated to be held at Bangalore on March 5.
