Varanasi: A hard core naxalite, carrying a cash award of Rs.20,000 was arrested in Sonebhadra district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday evening. DIG police, Mirzapur Range, S.N. Sawat said Munnoo Pal, a wanted naxalite involved in several criminal acts was arrested from his hideout at Chopan area. He said Munnoo, a resident of Naugarh jungles in the same district, has been active in the area for many years. He said that police cordoned off the area on the basis of an information and caught him unaware . Some arms and explosives were also recovered from him.
