Stolen cell phones database soon

HYDERABAD: The city police are building up database of stolen mobile phones to nab the offenders.

Separate register to note details of the stolen mobiles will be kept at each police station.

Hyderabad Detective Department DCP R.S. Praveen Kumar said people should note down the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number of their mobile phones.

“It would be easier for the police to track down the offenders if the IMEI number is available,” he said.
