4 held for murder
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: Four persons have been arrested by the Delhi police in connection with the murder of a teenaged girl at Bindapur here earlier this month. The police received a call on February 19 informing them about a cylinder blast and a subsequent fire in a house in Partap Garden. When the police reached the spot, they found the charred body of a 19-year-old girl.
During investigation, the police learnt that the girl had a live-in relationship with a 38-year-old man, Mushraf Hussain, who had allegedly lured her to the Capital from Varanasi on a false promise of marriage. When the girl continued to insist on marriage, he allegedly hired three persons to kill her and paid them Rs.1 lakh for the job. The other three arrested are Shamshad, Mohammed Sabir and Mohammed Javed.
