Medak needs more teachers: UTF

Sangareddy: The Andhra Pradesh united teachers federation Medak unit which has done a survey on the status of education, enrolment and education infrastructure in the district as a part of state wide drive found that the district has only 9821 teachers against the demand for 14,691. The study done in six mandals of the district pointed out that 204 head master posts, 42 mathematics, 20 physics, 49 biology, 82 social, 47 English, 19 Telugu, 28 Hindi and 27 PET teacher posts are laying vacant. Similarly it was found that 165 schools have no permanent building, 711 schools are facing shortage of class rooms and 1,650 schools have no toilets.

The UTF district president V.Satyanarayana in a press release here on Wednesday demanded better infrastructure in the district including sufficient number of teac. The UTF activists organized a rally with students from schools and held a dharna in front of the District education office.
