BANGALORE: Valmiki Samaja Hitharakshana Vedike has urged the Government to arrest the culprits who have defaced Valmiki statue at Kalmala in Raichur District. Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, vedike chief convenor C.H. Gowdar said that the vedike will hold protest demonstration in front of Mahatma Gandhi statue on March 4. He said that nearly 80 lakh people belonging to Valmiki community in Karnataka have been hurt due to the incident and urged the Government to take steps to install the statue immediately and take action against them.
