I was not kidnapped, says Union Minister’s son
Staff Reporter
CHENNAI: “Nobody kidnapped me from Chittoor… I have come to Chennai on my own,” said Hari Hara Prabhu, son of Union Minister Dasari Narayana Rao, here on Wednesday.
Speaking to The Hindu, he said that he was not kidnapped from Chittoor as claimed by his wife Susheela who had lodged a complaint with the Chittoor police.
Mr. Prabhu said that when he was in Hyderabad, his wife telephoned him and informed him that her brother was admitted to a hospital in Chittoor. Following this, he had gone there. However, when he checked into a hotel, some unknown persons forcibly took him away at gunpoint to an unknown destination and gave him some drink.
After some time, he said that he made his escape when the gang members were in an inebriated condition and reached Chennai on Tuesday on his own.
He alleged that the gang had obtained a few signatures from him.
He also said that he would prefer a complaint against his wife with the police for her alleged role behind the drama, on reaching Hyderabad.
