MLAs block traffic

VIRUDHUNAGAR: Virudhunagar MLA R. Varadharajan and Srivilliputtur MLA T. Ramasamy on Thursday led a road blockade to highlight the poor condition of Erichanatham-Sivakasi Road. Traffic was disrupted for more than two hours as around 200 villagers blocked the road. Sivakasi Revenue Divisional Officer B. Ganesan held talks with the leaders and promised to take up the work at the earliest.

Last week, Sivakasi MP A. Ravichandran threatened to take out a rally if the road was not repaired immediately.
